I worked with the creators of Lochair from the off, generating concepts for the overall identity. We moved around the concepts of natural, organic, local and therapeutic. Eventually encompassing two words, to create a mental image and emotional impression via the pre-existing metaphors associated with Scottish Lochs and their clean, fresh air filled with the scents surrounding them.
“We wanted to be able to encapsulate certain feelings and memories, to be able to transport our minds back to the state of peace we felt whilst wandering through that forest; the mist permeating the air, cool on our faces - as the broken heather underneath our boots encapsulated us in floral earthy notes.“
